When you think of clean and press, you think strength training, but if you do a set of 10-15 reps with a heavy weight, your heart rate will reach 80-90% of your maximum. And you’ll have a blast.

Similarly, you can try one-handed grips or kettlebell or barbell swings. This will get your heart pumping, your breath panting, and your legs burning. Do 5 minutes of continuous bodyweight squats, lunges and push-ups. Notice again how much you’re sweating, your muscles are burning, and your lungs are gasping for air.

This is the best way to improve the condition of your heart. They are usually considered weight training or strength training; however, they are also a great way to meet all your cardio needs.

If you do these full-body exercises with enough intensity, you’ll not only strengthen almost every muscle in your entire body, but you’ll also save time… something that can’t be said for the traditional 30 minutes on the treadmill or bike while watching TV. If you can exercise while reading or watching TV, you are not concentrating or working hard enough to see any real results.
