While following a healthy weight loss diet planthere are many fatty and “unhealthy” foods that are wise to avoid.

Fried desserts are very high on the list foods for weight loss. They qualify for it on several counts. We all like something sweet at the end of a good meal. The problem is when you take something that is already high in sugar and fat, you coat it in batter and deep fry it! Wow, what a long list of unnecessary calories.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that some popular fried desserts contain fruit like pineapple or banana. These fruits have lost their healthy identity with their natural sugars and the addition of syrup.

Another example is processed meat products, when you may not even know exactly what is there. A lot of effort goes into making the less desirable bits of animal matter palatable. Not only do they usually contain more fat than is good for you, but the chemicals used might shock you. This might put you off your comfort and highly flavored snack.

There are also many chemicals in my last culprit – alcopops. These drinks contain so much sugar and sweeteners, along with the “empty” calories in the alcohol, that they should really be consumed most of the time.

It would be quite a party who have banned alcohol from your diet plan altogether, but a dry shot of white wine is a much healthier choice.

Sticking to a healthy eating plan can be a little difficult at first. It can help if you make a habit of knowing what you should and shouldn’t include.

Very few foods need to be completely eliminated, but some are so bad that we really need to limit them quite drastically.

Improving your knowledge of what is good or bad for you will help you stick to a healthy eating plan.

You may find that you lose your desire for something when you realize how much damage it can cause.
