The ‘Postman’ Weight Loss Plan!
This article is aimed at those of you who have a weight problem and want to lose weight. I know what it’s like to struggle with weight, having tried countless diets and weight loss plans. Like so many people, I have always preferred the flavors and comforts of the wrong kinds of foods; food full of calories I would never burn off.
The foods I was supposed to eat never really appealed to me, vegetables, fruit, salads, pasta, I just couldn’t enjoy them and settled for plain old pizzas, burgers, curries and chips. The problem with being a teenager who wants to be accepted is that you do things that are not very good for your health, smoking is one of them, but hanging out in fast food and drinking alcohol are two things that have a really negative influence on you. your weight, needless to say, when I was a young adult, I had a bad weight problem and really suffered from low self-esteem and confidence issues.
At that time, like many others, I made a conscious decision to try to lose weight and began researching what seemed to be thousands of diets and weight loss programs. I tried one after another, but soon got tired of the lack of flavor and taste of low-fat foods, and living on milkshakes wasn’t really my idea of diet heaven. Just when I got to the point where I thought there was nothing I could do about my weight because dieting just wasn’t working for me, I noticed our postman walking down our road, I went to school with him and he liked me. he used to carry quite a lot of weight but was surprisingly quite slim now. I called him and chatted, finally working up the courage to ask how he managed to lose so much weight.
He told me he was just as I remembered him when he started as a postman a few years ago, but all the walking and carrying bags had made him lose weight, he wasn’t on any diet as such, and because he worked early mornings and nights at work he has largely given up alcohol.
The answer was as clear as the day is long, exercise. I can still eat normally, not excessively, but normally and exercise regularly and I will start to lose weight. It was amazing once I started, my weight started coming off pretty quickly at first and I was actually less hungry and more thirsty, especially after exercise and I always quenched my thirst with water. It made me feel so much healthier and happier about myself that I actually felt compelled to drink less alcohol as well. I am pleased to report that I am currently really happy with my weight and have even been eating healthy for the past twelve months which has further contributed to my weight loss.
