1. Try to avoid foods that contain a lot of “fat” (Trans fat, total fat).

2. Try to get some exercise (anything you enjoy: swimming, walking, jogging). 10-15 minutes a day is a good start.

3. Do NOT cut out all the “fat” in your food.

4. Limit yeast intake for about 6 weeks and then slowly introduce it back into your diet little by little.

5. Don’t fall for fancy advertising, magic pills or quick solutions!

6. Keep a journal of EVERYTHING you eat for at least 2 weeks (preferably 1 month). Be honest. What you learn about yourself will amaze you.

7. Start your weight loss journey in small steps.

8. Immediately STOP eating sweets, chips, soda/pop, “junk food”, “fast food”, etc.

9. You need a well thought out plan to follow with goals.

10. Make a commitment to be motivated to lose weight NOW!

There is no effective and safe way to lose weight that does not require determination, dedication and a strong desire. The faster and easier you lose weight, the faster you will gain it back. Give yourself 1/2 year to lose no more than 20 pounds, 1 year to lose 40 pounds, and so on. Consistency is the key to safe and effective weight loss AND long-term maintenance.
