7 Step Diet to Lose Belly Fat Fast

Below is a simple 7 step diet to lose belly fat fast. It really doesn’t have to be difficult, but you have to take action. If you just read this article and do nothing, then your stomach will do the exact same thing…nothing.

If you want a flat stomach or six pack abs, this is the best way to start.

7-Step Belly Fat Diet:

1. Eat more lean protein

You’ve probably heard it before, you’re probably here again. Eat more lean protein. Whether it’s a boneless skinless chicken breast, a lean bison steak, or a nice fish fillet, you need to eat more lean protein. Every meal should include lean protein, even if it’s just a handful of nuts for a snack.

2. Stop drinking calories

To drink water. I can’t say it enough. Get rid of anything that contains calories. If it’s soda energy drinks or any other type of junk drink, stop drinking them. I don’t care if it tastes good, you need to stop drinking if you want to lose belly fat fast. This also includes so-called healthy drinks such as fruit juice and milk. Drinking calories is one of the fastest ways to gain belly fat.

3. Eat your vegetables

I know I may sound like a loving mother advising a 5-year-old who won’t touch his broccoli, but this is absolutely one of the biggest keys to weight loss. The more green vegetables you eat, the faster you will lose weight. Include at least one vegetable in each meal, preferably more. I personally include green vegetables like spinach salad or broccoli and cheese along with some type of beans.

4. Eat more beans

It may sound strange, but beans can be a huge help when it comes to losing. Especially if you eat green lentils, kidney beans, or my personal favorite, black beans. These beans are high in protein and very high in fiber, and with their low glycemic index and relatively low glycemic load, these beans will keep you full without causing huge spikes in blood sugar.

5. Ignore the Food Pyramid

The food produced here is an archaic device created long before modern nutrition was developed. Although the government has modified this slightly, there is still a suggestion of large amounts of grains and the possibility of too much refined sugar intake. If you really want to lose belly fat fast, and I’m sure you do, then you need to get rid of these suggestions. Most people who eliminate wheat from their diet experience a loss of 5 to 10 pounds within the first week or week and a half. This is largely due to retained water weight and colonic backup. If you eliminate wheat from your diet, you will reduce inflammation and digestive tract problems and lose weight even faster. And then there’s the all-important sugar. Cut out refined sugar while you’re trying to lose belly fat. Sure, if you’re on a special diet that allows for cheating like I am, then eating sugar at the right times can actually help you lose weight faster. Unless you’re on one of the specially designed diet plans, you need to get rid of refined sugar if you want to lose that belly tissue.

6. Redefine Full

Most of us grew up learning to clean our plates and not waste food. This leads to the habit of eating until we are full. If you want to be fit and healthy, you need to stop this habit and break the pattern. You need to redefine what it means to be full. Start by eating smaller portions, and before you get a few seconds, ask yourself, “Am I still hungry?” this will help you redefine what it means to be full because you will have to consciously think about eating until you are full or you will be overfull.

7. Take a break…Sometimes

In our society it is almost impossible to follow a strict diet. No amount of willpower can keep you on a fast fat loss diet for very long. That’s why it’s important to plan an occasional break in your diet.

As I mentioned before, be careful how much you cheat. Unless your diet is specifically designed to strategically use cheating, it can set you back a full week or more. So to make sure you don’t ruin your results, plan to have one cheat food per week. It will be very hard to eat enough of the bad stuff in one meal to stop your progress for the rest of the week. Not to mention, this cheat meal will give you a huge mental boost because you’ll know when it’s coming and you’ll be more inclined to stick to your diet until then.

8. Bonus – Get support

It might not seem like it can help that much, but having a trainer or some kind of support system you know you can count on, rather than just a friend who wants to lose weight, can mean the difference between losing 5 pounds and gaining them back and lose all the way and get the body of your dreams, having a trainer is so important.

It doesn’t have to be someone who comes to the gym with you every time, but it should be someone you know you can count on to tell you the truth and keep you motivated. The best coaching is from a professional coach, even if it’s an email or online coach, or someone you can call when you have a question or just need motivation to stay away from the vending machine.
