Well, as this year draws to a close, how have you been?

Have you made them and seen them?

Did you achieve them relatively easily, so you set yourself more challenging goals?

Or did you just bomb out and end up achieving nothing or very little of what you thought you could?

If you’re in the latter, don’t beat yourself up. Recognizing these flaws is the first huge step to creating positive change in your life.

The problem with setting New Year’s goals is that we always make initial promises to ourselves that things will be different.

We promise to be more focused, disciplined and motivated to achieve our goals, but within months or even weeks we repeat the same behaviors that brought us so much disappointment and failure in previous years. .

The great Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

How can you create change in your life and achieve more of your goals if you keep acting and behaving the same way?

As I mentioned earlier, the reason so many of us fail to achieve the New Year’s goals we set is because we follow the same old approach in our behavior and actions.

Let’s turn over a new leaf this new year. Let’s start implementing a new approach that will keep you moving forward day after day, month after month, year after year toward your most valuable goals.

Here are the steps to achieve your New Year’s goals and achieve success in your life:

1) Don’t bite off more than you can chew:

Start small. Choose small goals that you can achieve in a short time. Once you complete them, you can create more for yourself.

Also limit yourself to 3 or 4 targets at a time. Anything could potentially overwhelm you and also cause you to lose focus.

2) Write down your goals

Putting your goals on paper is a great way to stay focused and motivated to achieve them.

Writing them down also gives them more clarity and purpose about what you want to achieve and where you want to go in life.

3) Share it with someone

By sharing your goals with a close friend, family member, or mentor, you will be more accountable and engaged in achieving them.

Telling someone also motivates you to go all out to achieve your goal, avoiding the embarrassment of having to admit to them that you didn’t stick to your plan.

4) Publish them.

Pin your goals to a place where you will see them regularly, such as your refrigerator door, bathroom mirror, or above your computer screen.

Continuously reviewing your list of goals will remind you of what you want to achieve and what you want to achieve.

5) Read them out loud.

Make it your ritual to read your goals out loud at least once a day. Read them with feeling and feeling and also try to visualize your success in achieving them.
