Are The "5 Deadly Whites" Coming to Take You Away? (Part 1: White Flour and White Rice)

Most Americans enjoy one set of foods, in fact, several times a day. These foods have something in common. They are deprived of almost all nutrients. They’re high in calories, and they work together to create foods that harm Americans’ health and fitness.

While the names may be new, these foods are very familiar to all of us. In fact, most of us eat “Wudubai” every day, and usually more than once. Can you guess which foods are included in the category of “Wudubai”?

they are:

white flour

white rice

white salt

White sugar

“White” or refined oil

Following the events of the Industrial Revolution in Europe and the United States in the 1800s, more complex and efficient equipment was invented for crushing wheat berries into fine white flour, polishing brown rice into white rice, and refining sugar cane into white sugar, making These common foods are more suitable for Western taste buds.

Add white salt and refined “white” oil and we have “five whites”.

In this processing and refining process, who is the loser? We are. White rice, white flour, white sugar products may taste better to spoiled taste buds, but they are also deprived of nutrients.

What’s so bad about white rice, white flour, white sugar, white salt, and “white” or refined oils?

Let’s take a closer look at these common foods, starting with refined grains.

Americans enjoy many different foods made with refined grains, such as white flour products, white rice, instant oats, and corn grits. We have an emotional attachment to Pillsbury Dough Boy (ah-hoo) and our premium light white flour for bread, pasta, pastry, pizza crust, pies, cookies, cakes and all kinds of desserts. Many of us love these products made with refined white flour even more than we love sugary foods.

Also, since World War II, the grain has been bleached, aerated, and colored, leaving only its original shape; then roasted, toasted, and frosted with sugar; embalmed with chemicals and preservatives; and stuffed into a large box. We call these fully adulterated grains cereals; these cereals contain as much nutrition as the cardboard boxes they come in.

Refining, crushing, sifting, cooking and packaging of whole grains can result in a loss of enzymes, or “life force” in the food, as well as a loss of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals.

Again, who is the loser in this refinement process? We are.

Refined grains or bits and pieces provide poor nutrition, leaving the body still craving good nutrition. So we overeat; we eat the wrong food. Americans are often overfed and undernourished. Why? Because of eating too much low-nutrient, high-calorie, high-fat, high-sugar, and high-salt processed, refined, and preserved foods, and eating too little nutrient-rich and fiber-rich foods.

Refined grains don’t contain the fiber that acts as a bowel broom to clean out your gut.

Refined grains are refined and preserved with chemicals; chemicals that we end up eating and that cause harm to our bodies.

Refined grains cause our bodies to produce excess mucus that accumulates in our noses, sinuses, throat, bronchi and lungs, causing us to inhale, blow, pass and cough, and often leads to more frequent colds and Respiratory problems.

Refined grains can lead to loss of calcium from your bones, increasing your chances of developing osteoporosis.

Refined grains are broken down in our digestive system and quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. This messes up blood sugar levels, depletes the pancreas and/or adrenals, and triggers a hypoglycemic and diabetic response. Refined grains are just as harmful to diabetics as white sugar.

In fact, refined grains are bad for all of us, and we pay a heavy price for eating them — premature disease and death.

Are White Flour Foods Worth Risking Our Health and Fitness? Only you can answer this question, but be prepared to accept the consequences of your answer.
