This manifests in obsession with food and weight, “not in the mood”, overwhelmed by mental and/or physical confusion, “doormat syndrome”, avoidance of social activities, fear of intimacy, low libido, trust issues, risk aversion, and There’s a general lack of self-confidence, not to mention how it can undermine the very foundation of an entire family.

With their tattered body image and exhausted self-image, many accomplished and powerful women silently resent their mirrors, fear their weight, hate their bodies, and wish they were thinner. 60 Minute Self-Image Makeover – Lifetime reality show, “How to Look Good Naked”

Great news, America! Lifetime TV has a hugely popular reality TV series called How to Look Good Naked (HTLGN) originally created in the UK, became a whirlwind hit, and came to the US Enter Carson Kressley, an openly Gay, he was a professional stylist and fashion designer to the stars. A former co-host of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and an actor, his hilariously playful approach and approach to empowering women and coaching them to love their bodies has made him the star of Lifetime’s new show “Take It From Me.” Go, girl” was the perfect host. It’s a 60-minute self-image makeover that’s guaranteed to leave you feeling the tingle as it makes you question all your irrational beliefs about your body.

Inspired by sharing women’s stories with readers, I reached out to several of the show’s contributors (nominees) and asked to interview them.

The plan for the show is that over the course of 5 days, each woman will learn how to dress to flatter her body shape, find the right base layer for a perfect figure, and get makeup and hair done for maximum impact. Each episode celebrates transformation with glamorous Hollywood-style photos in which women not only accept what they see in the mirror, but show it off naked.

In my opinion, these women are true role models, very brave, willing to go on national TV, share a lot about themselves, open up, expose their vulnerabilities, and let other women know they are not alone. To inspire and encourage my readers, I’ve included their interviews in my forthcoming book, Falling in Love with Your Skin. Here are excerpts from Shannon’s story:

Shannon Flores is 29 years old. She is a beautiful, curvaceous plus-size woman who lives in sunny California with her husband Jeremy and four children Ryan, Samantha, Caitlin and Kayla. Although she has a pool in her backyard, she never enjoyed it until HTLGN because it was embarrassing to be seen by her husband or neighbors in a bathing suit. After having four children, back to back, she said, “My boobs got saggy. My hips got bigger. My thighs got bigger. My butt got bigger. Shannon now swims or sunbathes in her pool at least twice a week, saying: “I don’t care. I walk around my front yard in my bathing suit. Life is too short to worry about what other people think I. After the birth of her last child, she regained 30 of the 60 pounds she lost with Weight Watchers: “I’m fine. I feel great. I look fine and I won’t be trying to lose weight anymore.
