A Way to Harness The Secret Visualization Tool

If you’ve been on the Secret mailing list, or watched popular videos posted on YouTube, you’re probably familiar with the Secret Visualization Tool. I watch this video at least once a day and I want to share a particularly simple technique I use to create a more impactful subconscious mind to absorb the affirmations in the video. (Just repeating affirmations in a sober beta state never helped me personally)
Books abound that explore the power of the subconscious mind and its all-encompassing, powerful influence on us. There are even several speakers in The Secret (full-length film) who directly or indirectly acknowledge their endorsement of this great idea, here are some examples:
Michael Beckwith provides the most concrete reference to this following level of awareness in our minds:
You end up attracting the dominant thoughts in your conscious mind, whether those thoughts are conscious or unconscious – and that’s the problem.

How the program works
Before clicking the play button on the visualizer video, I close my eyes, take two deep breaths and think only of “Alpha”.
Just wondering how one word or phrase can instantly drop my brain wave state to alpha?
In order to be able to switch into this lower brainwave state, I have to prepare my subconscious mind in advance to trigger this lower state.
First, I prepared an affirmation, for example:
“When I think of the word ‘Alpha,’ I immediately experience this relaxed state of mind with ease.”
I did this for 14 days straight (just to be sure, but that’s just me) to verify that the correlation between the word and the actual brainwave state actually worked. I probably won’t have to do this meditation so many times and I’m sure it will take you less time.
For these “alpha-triggered” meditations (programming the switch in me), I obviously needed a way to get myself into an alpha state first!
So for these 14 instances, I’m using a technique that I’ve seen from many sources and probably started by Jose Silva. That is simply counting down from 100 to 1, closing your eyes and relaxing. If you take it seriously and just focus on the numbers and nothing else, you might get into a deeper state sooner, maybe around 80.
Once you start to feel your body jumping and/or you see eerie images that don’t make sense, you experience what’s known as a “hypnotic” state.
This means you are in the Theta state, which is deeper and better than the subconsciously programmed Alpha state as long as you don’t fall asleep. However, Alpha state is easily reached by simply counting down and closing your eyes. Personally, I think this is a valid point where my subconscious mind is now ready to take advice.
Other uses for this new programmatic trigger ability
Now that you have the ability to instantly switch yourself to Alpha, don’t simply use this Alpha “trigger” to prepare yourself to watch the visualizer.

For example, when you’re waiting for the teapot to boil, or the washing machine to stop, or during commercial breaks, put yourself in alpha first, then always read your list of goals Feel Feel as if you have these goals right Now…or read all the features of a goal and feel the excitement of all these ways to benefit from a goal.

- Simply start counting down from 100 to 1 and when you feel relaxed enough (when you feel like you don’t know your body well), say this affirmation
2.) Using this switch, put yourself in alpha state before staring affirmatively, or enter alpha state in your free time and then look at desired target. Alpha status would eliminate the objections Loral Langemeier mentioned above.
