I’m not a jogger, so even if I tried, my enthusiasm wouldn’t last. I want to share eight lifestyle habits to take care of your body, mind and soul in a balanced way.

1. Drink plenty of water, don’t eat by mistake, eat more fruits and vegetables. Let me highlight the missing meal part. The medical community tells me that when someone is hungry or it’s mealtime, the body prepares the food by releasing enzymes into the stomach, and if there is no food to digest, the acid starts to work on the stomach lining, which causes ulcers to develop.

2. Choose a fun workout, one you like. In addition to weight training or taking an aerobics class, you can pick a sport you really enjoy and do it on a social level. There’s a social volleyball club, a social football club, or you can get together with friends for a walk, run or bike ride.

3. Control the doors of your thoughts. Don’t let negativity dominate your thoughts. There will always be something to worry about. Don’t dwell on such thoughts; they are a source of stress and depression.

4. Be comfortable in your own skin. Trying to please others or to compare yourself to others can lead to an unhealthy pursuit of unrealistic goals, which can drain you and irritate you.

5. Birds fly because they see lightly, keep a sense of humor, don’t lose curiosity, and sometimes see the world through the eyes of an eight-year-old.

6. Develop your mental and physical health capabilities. The demands on these increase as you get older and take on more responsibilities.

7. Keep promises to yourself and your loved ones. This is a surefire way to avoid the pain of regret.

8. Maintaining mental health can help you cope with life’s challenges that your mind and body can’t handle.
