There is nothing more stressful than finding yourself in charge of caring for a litter of orphaned pups if the mother dies for any reason or refuses care. While it will take time and commitment, fear not—it’s something you can do.
Supplies you will need:
- shoe box
- kettle
- Insulating materials such as towels, old socks, etc.

- wash cloth
- Scales – mail or kitchen scales for weighing babies

- Special foods, such as Oxbow Critical Care (available from your veterinarian)
