My Personal Rev Abs Review
Alright, so as Team Beach fitness trainers, we can get an inside look at a new product coming soon. So, around October 2009, we did an informative webinar on a product that Brett Hoebel created called Rev Abs. Brett Hoebel is an international fitness expert and one of New York’s most sought-after weight loss, nutrition and lifestyle coaches. Has also been working in the fitness field for 15 years. In Rev Abs, he created a system called Abcentrics, which basically means his moves target the abs from 6 different angles. Brett teaches you his favorite moves from this unique Brazilian martial art of capoeira. So, during the webinar, I could see that everything he said made sense, and that Rev Abs is very affordable and only requires some elastic bands or dumbbells. So I purchased the Rev Abs and it arrived in about 5 days. I opened it up and inside was 8 workout DVDs, fat calipers, workout calendar, nutrition guide (14 day skinny – I lost 13 lbs in 14 days), program guide, and even a program called abs anytime, anywhere. So it’s a 90 day program divided into 2 phases of 45 days each.
The training of stage 1+2 is:

Work Your Abs – High Calorie Cardio Intervals That Work Your Core From 6 Different Angles – 40 Minutes Phase 1
Power Intervals – High Intensity Cardio and Lower Body Resistance Intervals – 30 minutes Phase 1
Total Strength – A great full body workout! 45 minutes Phase 1
Mercy Abs – In this lol-15 minutes it’s all about the abs. stage 1
Fat Burning Abs – A stimulating routine for a veritable new abs and cardio combo – 40 minutes. stage 2
Power Interval 2 – Lower Body Resistance Exercise and Insane Cardio – 30 minutes. stage 2
Strength and Endurance – This full-body workout is no joke, my friends! ! 30 minutes.. Phase 2
Relentless Abs – This ab workout has no breaks and works your abs! 15 minutes Phase 2
Rev it up Cardio is a great cardio interval workout that will get the sweat rolling. 40 minutes Phase 2
The 6 angles mentioned above are upward flexion, downward flexion, double flexion, twist, extension, and lateral flexion! !
During my first week, I couldn’t believe how sore my core and body were. I think I worked really hard because I did the 14-day Jump Start program (I lost 13 lbs!!). During his workout, Brett spoke very positively about being part of the fitness revolution and being a role model. He’s also a very interesting guy. He said some funny quotes like when you start to feel tired during a workout, your mind starts to stop you, which he calls chatter. When the chatterer called, Brett said tell it to talk to the hand lol. Brett also sometimes said he was the dues collector, and when you work out, if you do it right, your back should be sweating, so he’d go check on everybody to see if they were sweating. He called himself a sweaty cop. He is a great motivator and trainer and makes exercising fun!
During workouts, Brett not only works your body, but also your mind in a very positive way. He also has a talking test, which he calls anthem, to measure how hard you’re going during your workout. It goes like this Rev it High Rev it Low I’m firmly committed and ready. This will tell you if the intensity is right. Keep increasing your intensity if you finish speaking completely. I use the same heart rate monitor that I use for the talk test or anthem. I really can’t believe all the inches I lost. I just finished my last workout week 11/day 77 and it just keeps getting better! I really like the meals in the Rev Nutrition Guide, they really work and fuel my workouts. I add Shakeology drinks to my supplements to make sure I’m getting all the fruits and veggies. Going all out on fitness and not dieting is kind of silly.
I believe in maximizing my results – not to mention summer is right around the corner! I am a firm believer in Beachbody products and I am also a realist, it all depends on our hard work and determination in the initial conditions to get the best results. It didn’t take me 90 days to get bad before p90x and Insanity came along, but I know my family and I are off to a great start with a healthy lifestyle.
