What Happens When You Are A Roly Poly Child?

Are you overweight? Is your child overweight? Are you feeling lost and confused and need help? You are not alone. The problem is here and it’s not going away. continue reading.

I just look in the mirror and the facts hit my eyes.

I just recently heard a woman talk about obesity in our kids. She reminds me of my childhood and the way I raised my two children.

Food choices and nutritional value are very different today than when I was in charge of my children’s food consumption.

Today’s food is full of chemicals, when we eat these foods, where is the nutritional value?

Vitamin supplements are coming out of the doors of the stores that sell them. It’s now a multi-billion dollar business. I know for myself that no matter what ailment I have, I will try to heal myself instead of taking prescription or over-the-counter drugs.

What does this have to do with our kids and their food choices?

A lot of times, if you’ve ever watched your kids eat, and seen what they choose to put in their mouth, which goes down their throat and into their stomach, you’ll feel like throwing up.

soda:

Soda is our kid’s best friend, it tastes great, and it comes in a variety of flavors:

stop:

How do we stop this avalanche of soda drinkers that starts in childhood and continues into adulthood? We can start buying to remove it from our home. It would be one less place where kids can take this sugar and caffeine fix. We can’t control where they spend their money when they’re with friends, but we have to start somewhere.

water:

I’ve stopped drinking soda and caffeinated coffee in recent years. I drink bottled water now. I don’t miss sugar or caffeine and feel so much better. But I am an adult; need to help children make good decisions.

milk:

What’s wrong with drinking milk? It is food for our bones and teeth. It’s just a thought.

French Fries, Cheese & Chips:

Who wouldn’t want french fries instead of veggies and salad. We need fat, salt and cheese, after all they just clog our arteries.

This is another big question parents have to deal with today. French fries, cheese and chips are not going away as long as the revenues from these products are astronomical.

How can we change this, or at least strike a balance between fruits and vegetables? Everyone has an opinion, and the only person who can implement this change is you.

As an adult, I find it difficult to control what I eat. I recently attended a wonderful dinner party at a friend’s house. The menu is not what I usually eat due to the amount of ingredients.

But I was with my friends and we were all sitting around the table talking and laughing and enjoying each other’s company; as a result, I ate too much of the wrong food.

Our kids are in this situation every day, they have less control over what they eat, and I am a mature adult.

what are we going to do?

If there was an easy answer to this question, I would be a millionaire. We need to take a step back, look at this from a child’s perspective, and make a change.

School:

School is where children eat every day. Sometimes breakfast, definitely lunch every day. Food options are available for kids unless they bring packed lunches.

Maybe that’s what’s needed. Maybe all kids should start bringing their own lunches to school and parents can send a message to school cafeterias to stop poisoning our kids.

(1) These are our children. Our own flesh and blood. They are precious to us and we cannot live without them.

(2) Why it is difficult for you to understand that good nutrition can lead to a healthier mind and body.

(3) We dedicate valuable work time to their healthcare.

(4) We take care of them when they are sick.

(5) You are creating a ton of medical and dental problems and are now feeling the snowball effect from it.

Child Health:

Believe it or not, kids’ health issues are now climbing the stairs to the top faster than solving the problem.

(1) Heart problems

(2) Diabetic problems

(3) High cholesterol

(4) Asthma

(5) Obesity

These are just a few of the stairs that lead to a runaway. Let’s find a solution to this big problem and step down.

fast food:

A quick snack is excellent for busy families or an occasional treat. Fast food restaurants are making a huge head start catering to kids and adults who don’t want to eat sandwiches and french fries with every meal. Now you can use salad instead.

Well done Fast Food!

Now that you’ve taken your first step, maybe you can take another small step. Fresh fruit can be purchased if desired. You might be surprised that your customers actually eat it.

Maybe you can take a look at your menu with the eyes of a parent. What do I want my child to eat in terms of nutritional value? Maybe you can get creative and develop some delicious, tempting dishes that the kids will love.

Activity:

There are many positive activities your child can participate in. Some of them are listed below:

lake.sporty

2. to dance

3. Music

4. read

5. Instruments

6. Swimming

7. Drama

Parent and child activities together:

(1) Take a walk

(2) Flying a kite

(3) play catch

(4) riding a bicycle

(5) roller skating

(6) Swimming – Spend the day at the pool or beach.

(7) Read a book and discuss it.

(8) Try writing a short story or poem together.

(9) Write a cookbook together.

(10) cooking

(11) Try cutting out food groups from magazines and making a colorful picture to post on the fridge or elsewhere in your home.

The ideas are endless, and since every child and parent has their own special interests, they don’t need to cost a fortune. In the long run, your child wants to spend time with you.

When your kids are healthy and busy, they’re less likely to get into trouble. For children and teens, trouble is everywhere if they choose to look for it.

Labels on cans and bottles:

Reading labels on cans and bottles at the grocery store can be confusing. I read and read and read and in the end I don’t know what to buy? Do you feel the same way?

Maybe the food industry should try to label their food in plain English. What’s in it? Don’t you want us, the consumers who buy and consume your food, to know the truth about the ingredients in your products?

In a restaurant, it seems like every tempting dish is loaded with too much fat, cheese and salt. All the ingredients to make your taste buds dance with joy, but oh, what does it do to your inner and outer body.

As a parent, you need to set an example in terms of daily diet and exercise. You might think your kids don’t notice, but they do.

Let the kids cook:

Let your children help you in the kitchen according to their age. Let them choose the menu and let them prepare. Most kids who prepare food with their own hands will eat it.

Conclusion:

The subject is so vast that I get dizzy just thinking about it.

As a mother and grandmother, I’m not a professional by any means, but these are my thoughts. If your child is not getting a balanced diet each day, make sure they are getting a good vitamin/mineral supplement.

I feel that many of the problems faced by children today, such as attention deficit problems, behavioral problems, and medical problems, stem from not having a nutritious and balanced diet.

This is my opinion. what’s yours
