Dieting For Successful Weight Loss

People get excited about a lot of things, but I’ve never seen anyone get excited about being overweight. I’ve met people who got tired of the ups and downs of dieting. Lose a few pounds today and gain a few pounds tomorrow. What about that point on the edge when you’re stagnant? In other words, no matter what you do or try, you’re not going to drop an ounce. The list of weight loss books, plans, programs, shakes, pills, DVDs, concoctions and philosophies goes on and on. Are we leaner or healthier for them? Not according to health experts and trusted medical journals. What we have is an obesity epidemic. With so many people overweight, including our children, you must feel overwhelmed. Who and what sources do you trust. Do you need another weight loss book? I do not think so. You don’t need another weight loss book; you need to change your lifestyle. You don’t need to be told why and how to diet; you need to learn how to change your eating habits. Change your “smelly thinking” about food. Don’t take my words personally. They are designed to ring alarm bells for you. But seriously, you need to relearn food and nutrition.

With so many weight loss books out there, why are you having trouble getting and maintaining your ideal weight? You’ve seen how the marketing media bombards you with so much information every day that you don’t know what to believe anymore. I hear people say, “I don’t know what I should eat” all the time. My goal is to clarify what true nutrition is, what foods I should eat, and most importantly, what foods I should avoid. In fact, most dieters eat foods that either make them gain weight, or at best only eat that much before they plateau. Another very important aspect to keep in mind when talking about real nutrition is avoiding diseases that are common in the general population.These include but are not limited to high cholesterol, diabetes and heart disease

My mission is to learn as much as possible about nutrition, exercise, fitness, optimal weight and its myths and truths. I am no different from you. I’ve tried everything under the sun, been there, and done it when it comes to dieting. Today I can say that I understand what healthy nutrition is and the pitfalls most of us go through. It’s only through trial and error that I now realize all the mistakes I’ve made for so long. You don’t have to throw up your hands to live a rollercoaster life of weight battles, prepackaged foods, the latest fad diet, and the highs and lows. All you need is common sense. How easy it is! Proper nutrition for your body affects every aspect of your life. Feeling great is a great feeling! I feel good even when my day is not going well. When I go to work and end my day, I feel great. That’s because my body is better able to handle life events, stress, and workload.

I realized that feeling great has almost everything to do with how I take care of myself, my body, my health – and it’s amazing that you can feel great too. The bottom line is if you’re like me, you’ve changed what you eat but not your eating habits. After you stop dieting, you go back to the eating habits that gave you trouble in the first place. Most diets also don’t take into account your overall health; let them “hunger control”. This just slows down your metabolism. After you stop dieting, you gain more weight than you started. When you feel sluggish, tired, and always hungry, you’re experiencing hunger symptoms; sound familiar? How can you expect to stay motivated and eat without making you feel healthy?

Find information and educate yourself on ways to change your eating habits for life. You can only achieve this when you understand what you did wrong and how bad it made you feel. Learn what real nutrition is, and you’ll learn something that lasts a lifetime. Once you start this journey, you won’t want to look back. You’ll experience exciting new foods you didn’t know you could eat before. Likewise, you can discover foods that you thought were good for you, but didn’t know they were actually poisoning your body.

From now on you will say I am committed to being and staying healthy and happy. And there is no turning back!
