Healthy Diet to Lose Weight – Don’t Worry, No Mention of Celery, Carrots, Or Tofu

Here’s a healthy diet for weight loss. Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you silly things like eating carrots and celery. I’m just giving you a diet that most people will easily follow.

The best part is, it’s not like a diet at all.

1. Start the day with breakfast

You just woke up from sleep, little fast food. Your body needs nutrients and calories right away. Especially protein. So for this diet, you need to eat eggs. I prefer 3-4 scrambled eggs. This will get you protein and keep you feeling full.

I’ll give you a “secret food” that helps a lot with this diet…use it as much as you can. It’s black beans. A can of black beans has 25 grams of fiber and 25 grams of protein…without the sugar. If available, heat 1/2 can of black beans for 5 minutes and spread over eggs.

2. Eat protein and fiber for lunch to stay motivated

The more calories you get (healthy calories) earlier in the day, the easier the rest of the day will be for you. You’ll reduce your cravings and need for snacks to get you through your next meal.

I suggest you have tilapia or salmon on a bed of lettuce. You can substitute other proteins for… 1 can of tuna, 1 can of black beans, 1 chicken breast, or 1 burger patty.

3. Dinner… lean meat and some “superfood” vegetables

Eat any lean meat you want for dinner, but I highly recommend having an 8 oz serving of broccoli or cauliflower…or a combination of both. I get 1 lb freezer bags for about a dollar and mix each.

4. Choose your snacks wisely

Too many people use convenience foods as snacks. Bad, bad, bad. A lot of times you can’t even control this because you eat really badly in the morning and afternoon and you need the sugar in them for quick energy.

Either way, try to snack on apples and low-calorie yogurt as often as possible.

5. What to drink…

Just water, protein shakes, and tea…nothing else! Empty calories are slowly killing you. Today, the average American gets more than 25 percent of their calories from fluids. It’s not very pretty.
